Morgan Releases Anniversary Version of Its Retro CarsApril 18, 2020
In honor of the 60-year cooperation of the British automaker with its dealership in the Netherlands, Morgan launches an anniversary collection of its cars.
Louwman Exclusive has been a Morgan dealer popular in the country for 60 years, the company was also named “European Dealer of the Year” in 2017. To celebrate such a long collaboration, Morgan has created five vehicles specifically for its dealer.
The first four cars are two pairs of Morgan Plus Six models, one of which is painted in the shade of Ice Blue, and the other is Scintilla Silver.
The fifth car is the Morgan 3 Wheeler model, which received an almond green body color, as well as a number of other changes in the exterior and interior. Let’s first talk about Plus Six, which is built on the Morgan CX-Generation aluminum platform.
Ice Blue LE60 Plus Six receives 19-inch alloy wheels with a “wire” design, as well as yellow brake calipers, headlight covers and branded L60 stickers on the side air vents. The interior is made of black leather with a yellow diamond stitching of the seats, while the instrument panel takes on a matte yellowish tint. Headrests have LE60 embroidery.
The last pair of “metal” cars Scintilla Silver LE60 Plus Six has a slightly smaller wheel size – 18 inches. They are painted black, and behind them are yellow calipers. The yellow theme continues with the number six inside the false radiator grille, the horizontal stitching of the seats in the passenger compartment and the corresponding LE60 embroidery on the head restraints. A yellow stripe runs along the rear edge of the hood, nodding at the traditional Morgan bonnet strap. The interior of this LE60 is characterized by a dashboard and the upper part of the tunnel, which is painted in body color.
The technical characteristics of the models remain unchanged: 3 Wheeler is still equipped with a 2.0-liter engine with 182 horsepower, and Plus Six with an in-line 3-cylinder 3.0-liter turbocharged BMW B58 engine with 335 horsepower.
