Morgan, the British exclusive sports car manufacturer, has published a teaser for its new model. The car will be shown at the Geneva Motor Show, which will be held next month.

Morgan began the new decade with a brand new aluminum platform that replaced the previous steel chassis that had been used for the past 83 years. The British company also abandoned V8 engines and replaced them with in-line six-cylinder twin-turbo engines manufactured by BMW. The next step will be the presentation of a completely new Morgan model, which will debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in 2020 next week.

The automaker has just released the first teaser image of the car on its official page on the social network Facebook.

Yes, it is small, which speaks of the new product, but judging by the general form of the car, we can safely assume that it will be made in the traditional style of the company’s design.

The accompanying text says that under the hood of the novelty there will be a four-cylinder engine, this fact leads us to believe that Morgan will introduce a new generation of Plus 4. The current version of this car is equipped with a 154-horsepower engine, which was borrowed from Ford, and thanks to which , the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 7.5 seconds.

“Thanks to the four-cylinder engine and an optional mechanical gearbox, our new product will open up new horizons for the company. The car is based on our latest CX-Generation aluminum platform. ”

Obviously, according to company representatives, the new sports car will be built on a new aluminum architecture, which, compared to the previous aluminum chassis, is two times stiffer and weighs only 97 kg.

Not so long ago, we wrote that Morgan showed the anniversary version of the Plus 4 model. The British automaker announced a special version of the Plus 4 sports car, which is dedicated to the 70-year history of the model. In total, 20 copies of the news will be collected.
