ModVans introduced the CV1 camperMarch 20, 2019
This van is built on the basis of the American Ford Transit and has all the amenities of a full-scale motorhome.
Vans and motorhomes are now experiencing a huge revival. Among them, the new segment is now quite pronounced, representing dual-purpose cars, which in fact are not much different from vans – such vehicles were common in the 1980s and 1990s. While those old vans were mostly equipped with velor sofas with televisions on the roof, the current generation is much deeper plunged into the world of camping, while retaining its daily functionality.
ModVans CV1 is a prime example of a new direction – the car was unveiled at a recent RVX camper show in Utah (USA).
As you can see, the CV1 is made from the cargo performance of the American Ford Transit. Modular components such as a stove, sink, refrigerator and, yes, a toilet were installed. There is a power outlet, and the 2000 W on-board generator and the 2000 W electric system, which is recharged by solar panels, will provide the residents with the necessary amount of light.
The CV1 has an electrically operated roof that rises to provide extra space in the cabin, as well as two adult beds. The kitchen area turns into another bed, big enough so that two more adults can sleep on it. The air conditioner on the roof provides coolness, and there is also extra storage space on the roof rack.
The company offers CV1 as standard for $ 77,000.
