A rare Ferrari-based Stratos will be auctioned in Paris by Bonhams, a private British auction house. According to experts, this “lot” will be able to gain from 780,000 to 1 million dollars. Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT) is responsible for the production of the new Stratos. The circulation of this model is going to be limited to only 25 copies worldwide. The car put up for auction is at the first number. The basis for it was the Ferrari 430 Scuderia.
So that the novelty can be called the receiver of the legendary sports car Lancia Stratos, MAT shortens the wheelbase by 200 mm and strengthens the passenger compartment with steel pipes. The car is driven by the cult 4.3-liter aspirated Ferrari boosted to 540 hp, which is 37 hp more than the standard 430 Scuderia. Also, the novelty has become 50 kilograms lighter than the “donor”. As a transmission, the developers chose a six-speed manual gearbox.
Since its inception, the Stratos has traveled 3,000 kilometers.
The beginning of this car was laid in 2009 as a prototype. Then, the 430 Scuderia with a range of 30,000 kilometers was selected as the basis for the two-door. Alteration of the car ended only in March 2019. The debut instance was painted snow-white, “dressing” in Alitalia livery. The transformation of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia into Stratos is estimated at least 500,000 euros, excluding the cost of the donor car.
Meanwhile, the auction lot was the incredible Lamborghini Veneno roadster. Bidding will also take place in Paris, and organizes their auction house RM Sotheby’s.
