Mitsubishi will introduce the concept of a new SUV in GenevaFebruary 6, 2019
“More SUVs, more electric cars, more technology and more style” – these are the words of the official representative of the Japanese automaker.
The Mitsubishi company will present at the 89th Geneva International Motor Show, which will begin its work on March 5 this year, its completely new concept Engelberg Tourer.
“Our new conceptual crossover Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer Concept, named after the prestigious Swiss winter sports resort, aims to further develop the style and practicality of the brand’s SUVs. He also has to demonstrate the development of next-generation technologies and the evolution in the technical characteristics of electric vehicles. ”
It is highly likely that the Engelberg Tourer Concept is actually a new plug-in hybrid crossover that will be slightly larger in size than the current Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. I note that the latter has not been updated for a long time. In addition, the concept is likely to get a more powerful powerplant. It is also known that the Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer Concept will be equipped with all-wheel drive system.
The Japanese brand Mitsubishi presented a hybrid version of its compact Outlander PHEV crossover in January 2013, so this car has been sold in its almost original form for more than six years. The successor of this car or an additional and possibly larger model can appear only after one or two years.
