Mitsubishi will bring Engelberg Tourer concept to ShanghaiApril 9, 2019
The concept car will be released in the series next year. The model is called the successor to the Mitsubishi Outlander compact cross.
The Japanese company Mitsubishi has finally unveiled a list of models that can be seen on the brand’s stand at the Shanghai Motor Show. One of the most anticipated premier is the Engelberg Tourer concept. We will see the serial version of the crossover in a year. It is believed that the Engelberg Tourer will be the prototype of the Outlander of a new, fourth generation. It is also known that he will share the platform with the Nissan X-Trail crossover.
Interestingly, the automaker borrowed the name for the concept from a ski resort in Switzerland, Engelberg.
This concept car gets a three-row cabin for seven seats, spacious luggage cases on the roof, as well as a number of screens: even the panel on the center console has become touchscreen. As the power unit for the future, the developers have chosen a hybrid power plant. It consisted of a 2.4-liter petrol “aspirated”, as well as two electric motors – one on each axis. On the same electricity, such a cross can overcome a distance of 50-70 kilometers, the total range of the course grows to 800 km.
