Mitsubishi updates Delica D:5November 25, 2019
Most of the improvements concerned the complex of active safety systems e-Assist. The automatic running board has also been improved and the number of trim levels in which it is present as standard has been expanded. Added new maximum version of P Edition.
During this update, all Delica D: 5 received, as a mandatory component of the e-Assist complex, an automatic accelerator lock system when pressed accidentally. The system only works when you start moving forward. Also in the e-Assist includes a system of automatic braking, warning of the exit from the strip and automatic headlight beam control.
Improved design of the side steps. It automatically extends when the rear passenger door is opened and retracts when the door closes. The system received LED backlighting. Convenience, according to the company, lies in the fact that the height of the leg for accessing the salon is 220 mm, and not 450 mm, as in the absence of a footrest. Now it is present in all Delica D: 5 trim levels, except for two initial ones – M and G (there is a footboard in the G-Power Package).
Added a new top of the range P Edition. In fact, it is a modified level of equipment G-Power Package. Improvements relate to decorative trim and active safety systems (detection of various obstacles when reversing, assistant when rebuilding, etc.). A salon rear-view mirror with an integrated all-round visor screen is also installed.
Mitsubishi Delica D: 5 is equipped with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel in combination with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The cost of Mitsubishi Delica D: 5 in Japan is 3,913,800 – 4,472,600 yen.
