The Japanese automaker has published a financial report, in which profit is fixed.
According to the portal Automotive news, Mitsubishi recorded a profit of 23.6 billion yen (about $ 207.3 million equivalent) in the last quarter, while a loss of 36.2 billion yen was recorded last year.
As a result of the first half of the financial year, Mitsubishi sold 498,000 cars, which is 14% higher than the figures for the same period last year. The brand registered a strong demand growth in the Chinese market, where sales grew by 87% to 58,000 units, as well as in Japan, where sales rose 48% to 43,000 vehicles. In the markets of the USA and Europe, the level of sales of Mitsubishi cars is at a stable level (growth and decline within 1% are fixed).
According to the Japanese, the surge in sales growth in China is caused by the heavy demand for the Outlander crossover, in the countries of Oceania Triton pickup trucks and Pajero Sport SUVs are confidently being sold.
