The model will soon leave the home market – the farewell version of Final Edition has already debuted in Japan. At the same time, demand for cars will continue in other countries, for example, in Australia and South Africa. However, there the SUV will be delayed for a short while.
Mitsubushi Motors global operations director Ashwani Gupta said that at the moment he can’t provide accurate data, but the company has already determined when the model will be discontinued. They also emphasized that the length of time will vary for different countries.
In general, the automaker will invest in the development of new models that will find even more buyers. Gupta also mentioned that you should not rush, but rather wait for the premiere of the SUV, which will acquire a modular platform. Its development is carried out in collaboration with Nissan. Most likely, the SUV will be a seven-seater and will be slightly more equipped than the last Outlander.
Rumor has it that the new product will become the “twin” Pathfinder. The top manager also said that the new platform supports SUV for different segments.
It has been speculated that Pajero will acquire a direct heir.
