Mitsubishi brought its new e-Yi concept to the Shanghai Motor ShowApril 17, 2019
The novelty from the Japanese brand is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), in which autoexperts saw the forerunner of a new serial crossover brand.
The Shanghai auto show, which opened its doors the day before, continues to amaze the world community with bright premieres. One of them is the concept car from Mitsubishi called e-Yi. The concept presented at the motor show opened a lot from the prototype of the Engelberg Tourer, shown by the brand in Geneva. Recall, then, this car was called the prototype of the future Outlander crossover new, fourth in a row generation. In addition to the exterior and interior design, the novelty borrowed from the predecessor the power plant.
This 2.4-liter gasoline “aspirated” and two electric motors – one on each axis. Only on Mitsubishi e-Yi electricity can drive about 70 kilometers, and if a gasoline engine is connected to work, the range will exceed 700 kilometers.
The novelty receives the overall radiator grille X-shaped, bunk lights on LED-matrix and built-in roof rack, equipped with LED spotlights. Inside the concept car with leather trim, there is a virtual dashboard, a front panel with several touchscreens, as well as a center console with a special touch screen for climate control and modern multimedia with a 12.3-inch diagonal. The concept was equipped with three rows of seats, which ensures a comfortable trip for seven people at once.
