Minimum changes: updated cross Suzuki Vitara revealed before the premiereJuly 27, 2018
The network posted pictures of the restyling SUV Suzuki Vitara without any camouflage. The official premiere of the model is to be held later this year.
Pictures of the standard refreshed cross Vitara were at the disposal of the Australian portal CarAdvice. As the newspaper notes, the photos were taken from a certain “government website”. Judging from the frames, the exterior of the SUV changed slightly: the model received a new radiator grille with vertical wedges in the style of Suzuki SX4 and a charged Vitara S, a different front bumper. The tail lights are now completely red, although it is possible that such a solution will only be used in Australia. Photos interior yet. Most likely, the salon has a new multimedia system with a large touchscreen.
According to preliminary data, the engines of the Suzuki Vitara are also the same. The standard cross is equipped with a petrol four-cylinder atmospheric 1.6 with a power of 120 hp. (in the Russian Federation – 117 hp), which works in tandem with a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Under the hood of the “sporty” Vitara S there is a turbo four 1.4 Boosterjet with a return of 140 hp, this engine is combined with 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Also in some countries, the crossover is available with a 120-horsepower 1.6 diesel. With all motors, the model can have a front or four-wheel drive.
In Suzuki, the updated SUV has not yet been announced. It is expected that the cross will debut before the end of this year. Perhaps, the fresher Vitara will be brought to the Paris Motor Show, which will open to the public in October. By the way, it was in Paris that the world premiere of the model took place – the crossover debuted in 2014.
SUV Vitara is the best seller of Suzuki – both in Europe and in Russia. In the Old World in 2017, 72,301 crossover was realized, which is 798 cars less than a year earlier. However, in 2018 European sales grew: in January-June, 33,000 cars were delivered to customers – by 1,685 more than in the previous year. In Russia in 2017 sold 3,492 crosses Suzuki Vitara (170 cars less than in 2016), in January-June 2018 – 1,658 SUVs (187 cars more compared to the same period in 2017 ).
