MINI revealed its first electric car S E during a photo shootMay 29, 2019
Concern BMW, like all global manufacturers, strive to electrify its own line of cars and brands under its control. Photospies managed to take a few pictures of the future news without any camouflage.
The first electric car from MINI will be presented soon. The car will retain its signature features and cheeky character, but will only use electricity to drive. Photos of the future MINI S E appeared during the official car photo shoot for an advertising campaign, and at the same time, the photospies had their session.
Judging by the published photos, the model practically does not receive differences from the acclaimed MINI Electric Concept concept, shown back in 2017. Nevertheless, the model has become more “serial”. A characteristic yellow plug (instead of the radiator grille), special light-alloy wheels with an asymmetrical pattern remained ahead, and a charging cable connection port appeared.
At the moment it is known that the MINI S E will receive an electrical installation from the BMW i3S. In her native car, she had a power of 184 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. A 44 kW * hour battery is used as the power source. The power reserve will be about 270 km through the WLTP cycle.
Despite the similarity with the concept, the production version will still lose its sports body kit. But, perhaps, there will be a special option available with extra styling.
