MINI promises to release several new cross-modelsJuly 23, 2019
Turning to the popular SUV segment today, the automaker plans to increase interest in MINI cars.
BMW has found a way to increase the demand for its MINI brand: a Bavarian brand is preparing to offer its customers new crossovers and two-door hatchbacks. Peter Nota, head of the BMW Group sales department, spoke about the expansion of the model line in an interview with Automotive News. According to him, the reform, on which high hopes are pinned, will begin with the American car market: here, motorists will be offered car dealerships, among which will be compact cross.
No specifics yet. The only thing that unveiled in the company – their expectations from this kind of upgrade. Of course, we are talking about sales growth, since the crossover and off-road segment is currently developing most actively. So MINI will definitely get a good piece of the total pie.
Recall that recently MINI shared its plans in the niche of electric cars. The debut for the brand will be Cooper Electric, which differs little from a classic car, with the exception of the filling from the BMW i3s.
Meanwhile, MINI is going to completely abandon the internal combustion engine by 2030. This was told by the managing director of MINI Peter Schwarzenbauer.
