Mini Clubman and Mini Countryman received a robotic transmission instead manualJuly 3, 2018
The company was told about a new transmission for models of the station wagon and crossover, or rather their petrol versions. Complete sets One (102 hp), Cooper (136 hp) and Cooper S (192 hp) will optionally install a 7-speed robotic Steptronic transmission with two clutches. Together with it, a start/stop system is proposed.
Such changes are associated with the modernization of gasoline and diesel units in accordance with the standard Euro 6d-TEMP. An alternative to the robot will remain a 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
To match the new economy, the Mini petrol for Europe will additionally be equipped with particulate filters. To comply with the Euro-6d-TEMP standard, diesel versions received the AdBlue urea injection system in early spring of this year.
Clubman and Countryman in the basic equipment received a system of automatic control of headlights and lanterns (button A). Optics are included not only with the onset of the dark time of the day, but also when entering, for example, in tunnels, as well as with reduced visibility during bad weather conditions.
In addition, cars with the robotic transmission Steptronic will be equipped with electronic selectors, and at an additional cost you can get the steering gear paddles (which are not under the steering wheel, but immediately behind it).
