Military truck turned into a real mobile homeFebruary 3, 2020
The creator of this project was able to convert the wine truck into a motorhome. Mike, this is the name of this ambitious guy, has been living in this motorhome for two years and has traveled all over Canada on it.
The M923A2 is a 6X6 wheeled military transport truck capable of delivering troops or equipment wherever they need. It turns out that this large car can easily serve as a full-fledged motor home.
Someone named Mike took this truck as the basis for his project, welded the transport container on to his frame.
Then he made the interior look like a cozy cabin with wooden boards covering the floor, walls and roof. The exterior is made in a military theme – dark green paint, but there are many interesting details that are worth noting. There are many places to store things, such as tools and firewood. The rear-view camera greatly simplifies the monitoring of what is happening behind this big guy. The truck received fully LED lighting, and solar panels are now installed on its roof.
The truck is still equipped with the original propulsion system – we are talking about the 8.3-liter Cummins in-line turbodiesel, which works with a five-speed automatic transmission with a two-speed transfer case. Mike has developed an interesting modification of the cooling system that uses warm coolant as a source for heating water.
According to Mike, all the work under this project cost him less than $ 40,000. He lives in a vehicle for about two years and rode it all over Canada.
