Mil-Spec Automotive (MSA) introduced the Hummer H1 for drag racingSeptember 25, 2018
American tuners from Mil-Spec Automotive (MSA) created a unique car for drag racing, based on the Hummer H1 SUV. The car is equipped with a turbo-diesel engine for 800 hp and a new suspension with reduced ground clearance.
The tuners do not stop surprising, and already the American studio Mil-Spec Automotive (MSA) presented its own project of a powerful car for racing in a straight line. The model is based on a large SUV Hummer H1, which has changed almost beyond recognition. As a basis, a four-door pickup of the 1987 model was taken.
To improve stability and acceleration characteristics, the suspension was completely rebuilt, which received new racks with stiffer springs and adjustable shock absorbers, reduced the ground clearance by 179 mm, and also improved the braking system by installing six-piston brakes. For an extra style and better grip on the road, low-profile Pirelli P-Zero tires were installed.
And the standard Duramax V8 engine with a working volume of 6.6 liters has received a special package of modifications, thanks to which the unit is able to develop up to 800 horsepower and 2,034 Nm of torque.
As representatives Mil-Spec Automotive have noted – the car was created exclusively for the purpose of check and completion of the power unit. Therefore, in the future, such models will not be available for sale.
Unfortunately, the studio did not begin to talk about the dynamic characteristics of the new project. In the near future we will be able to see other cars from the studio, equipped with this motor. Also, the completion kits for it will be available.
Meanwhile, the tuners presented a new work on the popular model BMW M5. The company Manhart showed a package of improvements, which increases the power of the car to 713 horsepower, and also adds a few stylish elements to the design
