Mexico opens first Seat Cupra premium showroomDecember 2, 2019
The sports brand Cupra, which separated from the Spanish company Seat, finally made its debut in Mexico. The Cupra Ateca crossover was introduced to the local market, and the main dealer showroom for 300 square meters was opened.
In Mexico, the grand opening of the Cupra brand head dealership took place. Cupra Garage is located in the exclusive area of Mexico City, Mexico. This store is a dealership with panoramic windows, covering an area of 300 square meters. This is enough to accommodate six cars, a waiting area, as well as employees of the show room.
The brand has chosen the capital of Mexico as the location of the world’s first Cupra Garage, because Seat cars are in great demand in the local market.
“Mexico is a key market for Cupra, and the opening of Cupra Garage is an important step for brand expansion,” said Cupra CEO Wayne Griffiths. “Our models have always been in great demand in this market. In 2018, one of every three SEAT Leon units sold was Cupra, ”said Griffiths.
It is worth noting that the Cupra brand is gaining momentum. In the first nine months of this year, 20,600 cars were sold. This shows an explosive sales growth of 78.9% compared to the same reporting period for 2018. Germany is a leading market with 8,700 cars sold. The most popular are: Great Britain, Spain and France.
