Mercedes told about the extended version of the GLC crossoverOctober 21, 2018
Mercedes GLC L – this is the name of the German novelty, intended only for the automotive market in China.
According to official data, the extended German crossover will cost about $ 1,450 more than its standard performance. The new Mercedes-Benz GLC L will compete in the Chinese automotive market with the Audi Q5 L “stretched” crossover.
Engineers of the German brand have increased the wheelbase of the compact crossover by 100 millimeters – due to which the free space in the passenger compartment has increased.
Now, the total length of the car is 4,760 mm, and its width is 1,890 mm. The curb weight of a standard GLC is 1,790 kg, so it is logical to assume that the extended version will be a bit heavier.
Like all other Mercedes-Benz cars with an increased wheelbase, visually the new GLC L will be absolutely identical to the regular model. The only noticeable differences are the longer rear doors.
Under the hood will be all the same engines – this is a 2.0-liter turbo engine, with three power options of 184, 211 and 245 hp. (versions GLC 200 L 4Matic, GLC 250 L 4Matic and GLC 300 L 4Matic respectively). Through a 9-speed automatic transmission, torque will be transmitted to all 4 wheels.
It is expected that the new performance of the crossover will be presented next month.
Just a couple of hours ago, we wrote that the hybrid version of the Mercedes-Benz GLE will receive up to 100 km of power reserve on the battery.
