Mercedes Sprinter prepared for serious off-roadJanuary 29, 2019
The all-wheel drive system will help the German van when driving over rough terrain. Motorized car received an initial price tag of 80,265 euros.
German tuning studio La Strada presented its next project called Regent S, which is built on the base of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van. Sprinter, as a rule, comes with a plug-in all-wheel drive system, but the guys from La Strada decided to replace it with a built-in all-wheel drive. To add even more off-road capability, several transfer case options, differential locks and off-road tires are available.
Riding over rough terrain has become easier thanks to the upgraded suspension, which is now 110 mm higher at the front and 80 mm at the rear.
Two engines are available for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter from La Strada. The basic power plant is a 2.2-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 161 horsepower. Customers can upgrade to a 3.0-liter 188 hp turbo diesel.
The possibility of comfortable driving over long distances is a very important factor for caravan buyers, and La Strada, knowing this, decided to increase comfort by equipping the van with advanced driver assistance functions. In the modernized car appeared adaptive cruise control, assistance in maintaining the lane, monitoring blind spots and a system of circular video review.
The Regent S 4WD van costs at least 80,265 euros, but there are plenty of options for a much higher price. From the available options I will name various designs of rims, towbars, automatic climate control and an increased fuel tank.
