Mercedes spoke about the updated version of the E-class familyJanuary 22, 2020
A small update for a German business-class car will promise the advent of an expanded list of technologies, as well as the appearance of at least 7 hybrid engines. Sales of new items will begin this summer.
The current Mercedes-Benz E-Class appeared back in 2016. Now, the German brand team is in full swing preparing for the debut a new version of the business class model. It is planned that sales of new items will begin this summer. The machine will receive several small changes in design, as well as more technology and all kinds of hybrid engines. It is a pity that we now do not have all the information about the car.
There is no data on when the presentation of the updated E-class will take place.
The press service of the German brand published several photos with camouflaged prototypes of the updated E-class. The car was captured on the streets of Las Vegas and its environs. Expect minor changes to the design of the front and rear bumpers. By tradition, higher-performance representatives of the business family from Mercedes-AMG should get a more aggressive appearance – the appearance of the Panamericana fake grid for all brand “charged” models is expected.
In the interior of the novelty, a new steering wheel and multimedia system MBUX will appear. The machine will be able to boast of various advanced functions, such as an air quality indicator, an intelligent all-wheel drive system, active steering systems, and braking.
Full information on the composition of the motor range of the new items has not yet been published, but Mercedes says that the new E-Class will be offered with at least seven plug-in hybrid engines. Two new engines will also appear, including a 268-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder “soft” hybrid with an integrated starter-generator. A 3.0-liter in-line M256 engine with 362 hp will also be used. with its own built-in starter-generator.
