Mercedes showed the first teaser of the electric crossover EQADecember 12, 2019
The first official image of the future news was shown on the screen as part of the presentation of the Mercedes GLA model. The compact electric car will debut in 2020, and sales will begin only in 2021.
A fully electric crossover from Mercedes was introduced three years ago as a conceptual model of EQA. Then the company presented it as a three-door hatchback with a fully electric installation. Nevertheless, the trend for crossovers and the popularity of compact models in this segment forced to reconsider plans. Now the press service is launching a teaser campaign, and soon detailed information will become available to us.
Now Mercedes EQA is carefully hidden by the brand. We still do not know its technical specifications, the exact design, as well as the exact dates of the presentations, the start of sales and the price tag. However, as part of the presentation of the new generation of Mercedes GLA, the screens showed a serial version of the electric EQA.
Despite the fact that the model was demonstrated from only one side, and the body is hiding under a colorful ornament, we managed to consider some details. First of all, you can notice the aerodynamic wheels of a unique design. Short overhangs in the style of the new GLA, an ascending glazing line, as well as an imitation of the roof line under the compartment-shaped body.
We assume that the Mercedes EQA will receive a power reserve of about 400 km, power from 200 horsepower, as well as all-wheel drive in a twin-engine version. The price tag will be about 38,000 dollars.
