The new serial hypercar Mercedes-AMG, which widely uses the technology cars Formula 1, will debut in the near future

The serial version of the new Mercedes-AMG hypercar, whose prototype is known as Project One, will lose the word “Project” in the title and will be simply called “One”. This is reported with reference to its own source reports Motor1.

The concept of the new product debuted in September 2017 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Mercedes-AMG One is equipped with a hybrid power unit based on a modified 1.6-liter V6 compressed air unit, which is used on the cars of the Mercedes factory team.

An internal combustion engine capable of spinning up to 11,000 rpm is installed on the rear axle. The unit operates in conjunction with an electric motor, together with which they together give out 680 horsepower. At the same time, the formula ICE will require major repairs every 50 thousand kilometers.

According to preliminary data, the Mercedes-AMG One will be able to accelerate from its place to 100 km / h in about 2.5 seconds, and the acceleration to 200 km / h will take no more than six seconds. The maximum speed of the hypercar will exceed 350 km per hour.

It is assumed that the serial hypercar, road tests which have already started in September, will debut in the near future. In total, 275 copies of Mercedes-AMG One will be produced, the cost of each of which will be about 2.5 million euros. At this point, all hypercards have already been sold out.
