Mercedes-Maybach has unveiled a new generation of its luxury sedanNovember 19, 2020
Just a few minutes ago, the online presentation of the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class ended.
As before, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class luxury sedan has a longer body and a longer wheelbase than the regular S-Class. Cars of this class can be distinguished by their two-tone body paint, radiator grille with vertical slats, as well as by the corresponding nameplates.
Of course, the main difference between the sedan and the Maybach is its interior. And if in the front row everything remains the same as in the regular S-Class, then the celebration of luxury and technology begins in the back. Firstly, the increased wheelbase has increased the headroom for second row passengers by 14 cm, so that the seats can be folded out almost parallel to the floor. Unlike previous models, the novelty boasts a new massage area – in the calf muscles. The seats are upholstered in Nappa leather even as standard. In addition, for an additional fee, the client can order the Executive Rear Seat Plus package, which adds a center console between the seats with heated and cooled cup holders, as well as a pull-out table.
Interestingly, the rear doors of the novelty can be opened with a button located by the driver or with a key. At the same time, they have built-in sensors that will warn rear passengers when they exit about an approaching cyclist or car. For added comfort, the car is equipped with an advanced noise reduction system.
The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is equipped with air suspension with Mercedes Active Body Control, which allows you to change the settings of each shock absorber separately. In addition, to increase the level of comfort, the car has a front camera that scans the area in front of the car and adjusts the suspension depending on the quality of the road surface. During the presentation, only one model was presented: the Mercedes-Maybach S580, which is powered by a 4-liter turbo engine with 496 hp. and 700 Nm of torque. We were also promised that a sedan with a V12 will be presented in the future. The cost of the car has not yet been announced.
