Mercedes introduced the updated CLS-ClassJune 6, 2020
Some information about the new product has already been published earlier. In particular, company representatives spoke about the new multimedia system. Now the novelty is declassified completely.
German auto giant Mercedes has updated its CLS sedan. Official photos and technical information were released on Saturday, June 6th. The debut of this model took place in 2017, so its appearance looks quite fresh. The developers decided not to change it, but simply added several new shades to the body color palette. One of the car’s power plants has been upgraded – it is a 3.0-liter OM 656 diesel engine. Its output power was reduced from 340 to 330 hp. respectively, but the torque remained at the same level of 700 Nm.
Most likely, the modification is associated with the need to comply with new requirements for the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere, which will enter into force on January 1, 2021. In the interior of the updated Mercedes-Benz CLS, the most advanced multimedia system MBUX has appeared. It is located under a common visor with a digital dashboard and allows you to very conveniently control all car systems.
From a technical point of view, an autopilot was added to Mercedes, which will itself begin to move if the stop lasted less than 1 minute. Also, the novelty is equipped with a modified automatic braking system.
In the European market, sales have already started. Soon we will see an updated version in Russia. Mercedes has already announced that in the first half of 2021, the CLS model is waiting for more serious restyling.
