The presentation and first run-in of the new Mercedes car will take place on February 14 at Silverstone, but its coloring was shown at the presentation of a five-year contract with a major partner – the British company INEOS.
The team gathered journalists to a press conference with Toto Wolff and Sir James Ratcliffe – INEOS Chairman and CEO at the Royal Automobile Club in London, where he showed a new coloring on the chassis of 2019 – the 2020 car will debut in only a week.
Wolff and Ratcliffe pulled off a protective cover – to the recognizable colors of Mercedes were added the dark red tones of Ineos on the upper air intake and the end plates of the front wing.
INEOS sponsors athletics, cycling, football and America’s Cup races. Head of Mercedes AMG Toto Wolff believes that the team is well suited to the sponsorship portfolio of INEOS.
