Mercedes introduced the environmental programMarch 3, 2020
Following Renault and McLaren, Mercedes supported the FIA and Formula 1 environmental initiative by presenting their program to develop innovative and efficient use of resources and new technologies, as well as to reduce harmful emissions from factory teams in Formula 1 and Formula E.
The Formula 1 team plans to halve CO2 emissions by 2022. She participates in the FIA working group on the development and use of sustainable fuels, promotes the wider use of processed fuels, and also insists on increasing the percentage of electric energy in future hybrid power plants.
