Mercedes has released a training video on the management of the new G-Class off-roadDecember 28, 2018
Despite the fact that all the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUVs are already sold out, and the line for pre-order has been stretched for a year and a half, interest in the model does not fall. And the company Mercedes decided to explain exactly how to drive the new G-Class through the mud.
Apparently, not every owner of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class really realizes the off-road capabilities of the model, which is difficult to use for its intended purpose because of the initial price tag. However, the company recalled that this is a real off-road car, and the video showed exactly how to use it, including jumping on the bumps.
The cross-country vehicle is provided thanks to a powerful engine, as well as an all-wheel drive system, with the possibility of lowering gear ratios, as well as locking center and rear differentials. In video, it is separately stated that locking systems should be used only on off-road conditions.
The question is different – will the owner of such a car go specifically to the dirt, where it can damage it? Moreover, soon the market will come out even more expensive modifications including the “charged” version of the AMG G63 S and, possibly, a luxurious modification Maybach.
