Mercedes has published prices for the updated GLS crossover in version 580June 20, 2019
According to official data, the price of the German mid-size crossover in version 580 begins with a mark of 97,800 dollars. The cars will reach US dealers by the end of this year.
When Mercedes published prices for a completely new mid-size GLS crossover for the US market earlier this month, it only mentioned the entry-level GLS 450 4Matic. The starting price of this performance is $ 75,200.
For those who are interested in purchasing a more powerful version of the flagship crossover, the German company announced that the GLS 580 will be available at an initial price of 97,800 dollars.
So what do you get for the GLS 580 version? Under the hood of such a car is a 4.0-liter V8 with a system of short-term increase in power EQ Boost. The power of the motor is 483 hp and the maximum torque is 516 Nm. A 9-speed automatic is installed as a gearbox, which is connected to the AWD all-wheel drive system.
The more powerful GLS 580 engine helps accelerate to the first 100 km/h by 0.7 seconds faster – in the end, it only takes 5.2 seconds. Top speed is limited to 209 km / h. Interestingly, although I’m sure that few people will take care of this, the V8 version is slightly longer than its six-cylinder counterpart.
Standard GLS versions will be reached by dealers in the USA by the end of this year, high-performance AMG models and luxury Maybach should not appear until 2020.
