Mercedes has named prices for hybrid modifications of the GLE and GLC SUVsJanuary 29, 2020
The diesel-electric GLE received a range of 100 km and joined the new gas-electric versions of the GLC model.
Mercedes-Benz has announced pricing for the new GLE 350de 4Matic, a diesel-electric hybrid SUV with class-leading power reserve and CO2 emissions, and an updated hybrid GLC. The special design of the rear of the body and the modified rear suspension create space for the use of a large battery. So, Mercedes-Benz GLE 350de 4MATIC and GLC 300e 4MATIC are equipped with a battery capacity of 31.2 kW / h. Using the appropriate DC charging stations, it will be possible to charge the battery in about 20 minutes from 10% to 80% or in about 30 minutes to 100%.
The cruising range exclusively on electric traction of an SUV is as much as 100 km, and the maximum speed is 160 km / h. The total output of electric motors is 320 hp. power and 700 Nm of torque.
There is no step in the trunk; its capacity, reaching 1915 liters, remains impressive.
With the new GLE, the latest generation of Mercedes-Benz assist systems also debuted. Thanks to them, the level of active safety has increased, and not only in comparison with its predecessor. Some features of Intelligent Drive, such as the active traffic jam assistance system, are unique not only in the SUV segment.
The exterior design of the GLC 300e 4MATIC is characterized by a sporty look. A clearly defined interpretation of this car as a real SUV is formed by muscular surfaces and such spectacular details as chrome elements, which are now used on a serial basis throughout from the front to the rear of the body, as well as the energetically drawn radiator grille.
The GLC crossover already in the basic version received LED headlights with increased power. Their outlines, in addition, have noticeably changed: they have decreased in size and become flatter. Thus, the shape of the daytime running lights made in the form of a torch was even more marked, and the brand-specific light “emblem” became even more recognizable. MULTIBEAM LED headlights are available as an option. Newly designed, fully LED taillights are also part of the base.
The GLE350de SUV is the latest model in the extended line of new hybrid diesel-electric cars from Mercedes-Benz, which already includes the C300de 4Matic and the larger E300de. The novelty is available in the UK at a price of 61,360 pounds. The basic version of the AMG Line received 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive headlights, a DAB radio, heated front seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel display and wireless charging for the smartphone.
As another addition to the lineup, the brand has also announced pricing for the updated GLC300e 4Matic hybrid gasoline-electric plug-in. The competitor BMW X3 xDrive30e is priced from £ 49,687 and comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, AMG design elements and sports seats. For an additional fee, you can choose larger 20-inch wheels, LED headlights and leather seats, as well as a panoramic sunroof, Burmester sound system and seat memory package.
