Mercedes has announced a Gelendvagen-style supercarFebruary 10, 2020
Mercedes-Benz and shipbuilding company Cigarette Racing will release a speed boat, which will be dedicated to the SUV G-Class
The company Mercedes-Benz and the shipbuilding company Cigarette Racing have announced their new joint project – a speed boat, which will be performed in the style of an SUV G-Class. The public premiere of the device will be held February 13 at the International Yacht Show in Miami.
Judging by the published teaser, the novelty will receive a classic Cigarette Racing silhouette with a long nose and short stern. The similarity with the G-Class SUV will be traced in the window line, as well as, as expected, in some interior details.
The latest Mercedes and Cigarette Racing project was the 41 ’AMG Carbon Edition, a speedboat created in honor of the four-door Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door supercar. In the design of the boat, for the sake of weight reduction, carbon was widely used.
In particular, structural elements, a roof, and also a cover of the power unit compartment are made of composite materials. The boat, capable of taking on board up to eight people, received specially coated seats, as well as three 17-inch monitors, which displays information about the operation of the ship’s systems.
The boat was equipped with four engines Mercury Racing 400R, which in total give out 1,600 horsepower. Units allow 41 ’AMG Carbon Edition to reach a top speed of 134 km per hour.
