Mercedes EQA began to reset his camouflageJune 9, 2020
The debut of its new electric car, the German automaker promises to organize until the end of 2020. In the meantime, the prototype of the future global model continues to pass the required tests. During one of the test races, the novelty “caught” without part of its disguise.
In the “fresh” spy photos, the electric Mercedes EQA is captured with a slight camouflage in front and behind. The side profile of the new item is almost completely open, which once again reminds us that the EQA is essentially an electric version of the second generation GLA. But on the design of the front and rear of the electric car, German engineers thoroughly worked to ensure that the novelty organically subscribed to the EQ family.
Recall that before the brand already showed teasers of its “green” compact cross, but the technical characteristics of the car are still kept secret. The conceptual EQA 2017 boasted a pair of electric motors, whose total output reached 268 hp. But then the three-door hatchback appeared before the audience. What consequences for the model had the transition to a more popular body type, one can only guess.
In general, according to foreign automotive media, EQA, EQB and EQC will not remain the only electric SUV in the portfolio of Mercedes. So, the same G-Class with zero emissions has already been confirmed. At the same time, one should not count on his appearance in the near future.
All these high-performance models will become part of an expanded family of electric cars, which will include electrical analogues of the C-Class, E-Class and S-Class.
