Mercedes continues to test the new GLB crossoverMay 29, 2019
The new compact crossover was caught on a test run. The prototype is much less camouflage film than before. The official presentation of the model will be held in the summer, as well as at the Frankfurt Motor Show (September of this year).
The German brand Mercedes-Benz, with its rather rich model range of crossovers and SUVs, is going to present another similar model. The GLB crossover will be officially shown this summer before going on sale before the end of the year.
With a clear approach to this point, the engineers of the prestigious brand were kind enough to remove some of the disguise from the prototype and allow us to get a better look at the new product. The exterior design of the car is not completely secret, considering that the GLB concept was already introduced a little over a month ago at the car showroom in Shanghai.
With a square shape reminiscent of the old GLK, the new model will be something different from the usually lush Mercedes crossovers – with the notable exception of the legendary G-class SUV.
The specimen, patiently waiting for a red light at a German intersection, confirms that the serial version of the crossover will not differ too much from the concept. Virtually everything will inherit from the A-class hatchback, while its base price should be between the entry-level GLA coupe and the larger GLC. It is reported that a fully electric EQB will be shown in 2021.
