Mercedes-Benz has announced the emergence of a new infotainment complex on the updated CLS-Class.
So, the novelty instead of the COMAND multimedia system will receive a proprietary MBUX. The center console will retain two 12.3-inch screens. The new infotainment complex will be located next to the digital dashboard.
In particular, the advent of MBUX will allow control via a touch screen, which will make life easier for drivers. In addition, the new standard will be equipped with active braking assistants.
Restyling CLS-Class will be offered in two versions: CLS450 and AMG CLS53. From the technical part, everything will remain the same. So, the CLS450 version will receive a 6-cylinder 3.0-liter turbo engine with an EQ Boost with a capacity of 362 hp. and 500 Nm of torque. Such a car will accelerate to 60 mph (96 km / h) in 5.1 seconds.
In turn, the CLS53 will be equipped with the same 6-cylinder engine rated at 429 hp. and 581 Nm of torque. Acceleration to 60 mph (96 km / h) in this modification will take 4.4 seconds. Together with both engines, a 9-speed gearbox will work.
The color palette of the new model, in particular, will replenish with two new shades: Mojave silver and Cirrus silver. At the same time, the German company has not yet published information about the cost of new items. Most likely, prices will be announced before the end of this year, when dealers will receive a restyled CLS-Class.
In addition, the recently updated Mercedes-Benz GLC was noticed on tests. The debut of the new model should take place in 2022.
