The new generation Mercedes-Benz CLA will be built on the MFA architecture, designed specifically for compact cars.
Mercedes-Benz has begun testing the next generation of CLA. In the photographs of photo spies, which were published by the Motor1 edition, the novelty is presented in minimal camouflage. The premiere of the car is likely to take place at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
The novelty will be built on the MFA architecture, created specifically for cars of the compact class. Through the use of the new chassis CLA will add in size, and its interior will be more spacious. It is also assumed that the model after the change of generation will keep the modification with the body “Shooting Brake”.
Mercedes-Benz CLA will share the engine range with the new A-Class. It will include a new 1.4-liter gasoline unit, developed jointly with Renault. Recoil gasoline and diesel engines will vary from 120 to 230 horsepower.
The top-end AMG-modification will be equipped with a modernized turbo four, working together with a 48-volt system that will power a small electric motor and a turbine electrically driven. The total return of units hot hatch will exceed 400 horsepower.
