Mercedes-Benz X-Class Pick-up received a turbodiesel V6February 28, 2018
The world premiere of the new turbodiesel version of the X 350 d 4MATIC will take place next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Motor range of the pickup Mercedes-Benz X-Class replenished with a German turbodiesel V6 working capacity of 3.0 liters and a 258 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. It will be combined with a seven-speed automatic transmission with a 7G-Tronic Plus torque converter.
The version of the model with such a power unit was called X 350 d 4MATIC. It uses transmission, like the new generation of SUV G-Class. The 4MATIC permanent all-wheel-drive system has a lockable, asymmetric differential, a traction distribution in the ratio 40:60 in favor of the rear wheels.
Recall that the Mercedes-Benz X-Class is based on the pick-up Nissan Navara last generation. With him, he divides the frame, the power structure of the body, and in versions X 220 d and X 250 d and the transmission with motors. They differ in different modifications of Nissan’s turbodiesel capacity of 2.3 liters by 163 and 190 horsepower, respectively. Japanese gearboxes they have in common (6MKPP and 7-step machine), and a hard-wired four-wheel drive.
With the new top version of the X 350 d, the 4MATIC system can operate in two modes: road 4MAT and off-road 4H. They have different settings for electronic systems. The full drive has a reduction gear ratio of 2.9: 1. It is higher than the versions with the distribution from the company Nissan (2,7: 1). An honest lock for the rear inter-wheel differential will be available as an option.
On the body of X 350 d 4MATIC, the “V6 Turbo” nameplates will be distributed. In the cabin of the differences it is worth highlighting the presence of the steering column paddles and the lever of the machine with a straight groove.
In Germany, prices for the base Mercedes-Benz X 220 d start from 31,340 euros. Version X 350 d 4MATIC will cost from 53 360 euros.
