Mercedes-Benz will bring SLC Final Edition to GenevaFebruary 22, 2019
Entry-level roadster can finally disappear from the company’s line. In 2018, Mercedes-AMG boss Tobias Moers admitted that Mercedes had not yet decided what to do with the model. “We are still at the discussion stage,” he said. At the Geneva Motor Show will be a special version of the Final Edition, dedicated to parting with the Mercedes-Benz SLC.
The special version will include the SLC 300 and SLC 43 models. The first will be painted in the color of “Selenite Gray” and the second in Sun Yellow, which recalls the original shade of Yellowstone, developed for the original SLK (later renamed SLC) debuting in 1996. Both models will receive a glossy black trim.
The Mercedes-Benz SLC 300 Final Edition comes with sports seats covered in black and silver leather with gray contrast stitching, gray safety belts and inlays on carbon fiber headrests. The list of standard features includes Mercedes AirScarf technology, heated seats and memory settings for the seats, steering column and mirrors.
The SLC 43 Final Edition gets the same two-color finish as the SLC 300, and many similar features, including heated seats and memory settings. It is also equipped with an AMG Performance steering wheel with a gray insert for 12 hours.
Special series will not receive technical changes. The SLC 300 will be equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that will provide 241 hp. and power and 330 Nm of torque. The SLC 43 comes with a 3.0-liter V6 tuned to 385 hp. and 521 Nm of torque. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 5.8 and 4.6 seconds, respectively.
The Mercedes-Benz SLC Final Edition will be available in 2020.
