Mercedes-Benz SLE Shooting Brake: an incredible render of a German sports carJanuary 1, 2019
While the concern Daimler is pondering what to do with its sports cars, to put it mildly weakly sold, independent designers throw up ideas for work.
The web presented a brand-new brand new Mercedes-Benz SLE Shooting Brake, which embodies modern trends, family style, and electrification. And indeed, why would a company from Stuttgart not combine an electric car line with a sporty style and a fashionable body Shooting Brake. Judging by the images – it does not look bad.
The work is presented by the Turkish artist Emre Husmen. And the quality of work is easily comparable with the sketches that Mercedes uses as teasers. Renaming to SLE means that we are dealing with a compact car with high controllability and closely related to the E-class. But instead of the expected 4.0-liter turbo engine V8 is assumed to be a fully electric unit.
We clearly demonstrate that the design language was borrowed from the future EQ line. This can be seen from the false radiator grille, on the site of which an external display is installed, round shapes of the front and wings with a bonnet, as well as aerodynamic light-alloy wheels.
Of course, Mercedes, sooner or later, will release an electric sports car, but it is doubtful that he will use this particular type of body, and it is unknown when it will appear.
Meanwhile, Mercedes has released a training video on managing the new G-Class off-road. Despite the fact that all the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUVs are already sold out in Russia, and the queue on pre-order has already been stretched for a year and a half.
