Mercedes-Benz recalls AMG GT, G550 4×4² and Maybach S600January 8, 2018
The recall of cars to the US will begin in January and may last two to three months.
German automotive manufacturer Mercedes-Benz announced a new revitalizing campaign, covering a wide range of models in the market of the United States.
Under the review were models of the upper-price segment: Mercedes-Benz GLE, GLS and S-Class, including versions from Mercedes-AMG GT and even Maybach S600. The total number of cars is about 8700 units. All of them refer to the 2017 and 2018 model years. The cause of their recall are the identified defects with locks of the left rear doors, which may not be closed until the end. The owner of each car will be called to the nearest Mercedes-Benz service center, where specialists will inspect the locks and, if necessary, replace them with new serviceable mechanisms.
Another 8314 Mercedes-Benz GLC units respond with the aim of adjusting the headlights. In 432 copies of the off-road vehicle G550 4×4², an error of the engine control unit is detected, due to which it will not issue the declared power. The last of the recall list are 10 AMG GT coupe units, equipped with optional AMG seats. They will need to either update the software for passenger airbags, or replace the passenger seat cushion.
