Mercedes-Benz may mark Maybach as a separate brandOctober 25, 2018
Rumors about the possibility of entering the market Maybach models as cars of a separate brand continue to appear. This time, the head of Mercedes-Benz Dieter Zetsche spoke about some of the details.
The head of the German brand Mercedes-Benz, Dieter Zetsche, said that in the near future it is likely that some Maybach models will appear on the international market. Thus, we can still see the luxurious German-made Maybach models that will compete with Rolls-Royce models and other premium brands.
Unfortunately, the creation of a new brand is still at the stage of considering the possibility within the framework of long-term development plans of the Daimler concern, as it was with AMG vehicles earlier. Nobody reports the exact dates yet.
Currently, we recall, Mercedes is selling a luxury version of the Maybach S-Class. It differs from the usual executive sedan with a grille, an extended set of equipment, 20-inch wheels of the original design and the Maybach logo on the rear racks. The sedan comes with a 4-liter V8 rated at 463 hp and a 6-liter V12, which returns 612 hp.
In addition, in the near future, another Audi brand, under the Horch line, can present its luxury line. Experts expect that the first car will be a luxury version of the Audi A8.
