Mercedes-Benz introduced the interior of the electric crossover EQA
January 16, 2021The German automaker is raising another corner of the curtain with the electric Mercedes EQA, which will debut soon.
On January 20, Mercedes will remove the curtain from the long-awaited “little brother” EQC. Naturally, all this will happen online, as we are used to today. Don’t expect a big surprise in terms of appearance. The Mercedes EQA is “just” an electric GLC, albeit with an EQC-style front end and no doubt some design cues of its own.
Therefore, the dashboard that Mercedes is showcasing is not surprising. The differences, which undoubtedly are, are not visible on the darkened teaser. The photo could just as well have depicted the GLA’s dashboard. A unique feature of the EQA will be smart navigation that takes into account the range and charging parameters.
It is now clear that the introductory version will be called the EQA 250. This is an all-wheel-drive version (no doubt a front-wheel-drive version will also take place in the lineup) with just over 190 hp. This means that the electric crossover will lag slightly behind cars such as the Volkswagen ID3 and Hyundai Kona Electric, which have 204 hp. However, Mercedes-Benz already promises that there will be a version with 273 hp. with four-wheel drive and therefore two electric motors. The Mercedes EQA is due to hit dealerships this spring.
