Mercedes-Benz has started testing the electric EQC on the roadsJanuary 17, 2018
On the public roads in Germany, the first prototype of the electric crossover Mercedes-Benz EQC in camouflage has already been seen. At least so say the photo spies. A video with him was posted on the Youtube channel walkoART.
The new subbrand EQ from Mercedes-Benz will combine future models of electric vehicles. This abbreviation means “Electric Intelligence”. Especially for the model range of electric vehicles, the Modular Electric Architecture (MEA) platform has been created. In its design, the batteries are located in the floor, and the motors are mounted on one or both axes.
Probably, EQC will be the first model of the EQ line, since its prototype is already tested on city roads. The EQC index reflects the membership of the C-class.
The test specimen received few stubborn panels. You can appreciate its silhouette. It is similar to the Generation EQ concept of 2016. Through the camouflage film, the same as the concept car, oblique front lights are visible. The bumper and the hood received false panels. Therefore, the front line is difficult to guess.
Sales of Mercedes-Benz EQC, most likely, will begin in 2019. Manufacture of electric novelties will be adjusted at the German plant in Bremen, where they produce models C-Class and GLC.
