The world’s first Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan, designed for US buyers, has almost reached official dealers. Representatives of the German brand declare that the car will go on sale in early 2019, that is, in the very next weeks or even days. So far, there is no exact date for the start of sales, but now we know how much the car will cost.
So, the starting price for the A220 front-wheel drive version is $ 32,500, and the 4MATIC all-wheel drive versions cost a little more – $ 34,500
As expected, the first sedan in the history of the compact family of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be the most affordable car from the entire range of the brand.
The Mercedes-Benz A220 comes with LED front and rear optics, 17-inch wheels and a panoramic roof. Inside is a fully digital dashboard with a 7-inch screen, which is combined with a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system. Both screens are part of the MBUX system. 2-zone climate control is also a standard option, as are the shift paddles and full integration of the smartphone with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay systems. Standard features include active braking assistance and adaptive braking with support while driving downhill.
Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 188 horsepower, which is paired with a 7-speed double-clutch transmission.
