The premiere of the Mercedes-Benz GLS 2020 model year was held at the New York Motor Show. Just a week later, the company opened the reception of pre-orders, and the press service published the official price tag. At the moment, only two GLS with a diesel engine will be available, and only for markets in Europe, Russia and other regions outside the United States. Other engine options will be available later.
The initial version of the GLS 350 d 4MATIC is equipped with a three-liter turbo diesel with a capacity of up to 286 horsepower. In the native market will cost from 85 923 euros. A more powerful GLS 400 d 4MATIC with a similar, but more powerful engine for 330 forces will cost from 90,386 euros. It is likely that a wide list of additional options may raise the cost by another 10,000 euros.
“GLS combines modern luxury with the character of an SUV,” said Daimler chief designer Gordon Wagener in a statement during the presentation of the model.
