Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe: the first image appeared on the webSeptember 15, 2018
Mercedes only this week officially introduced a new generation of crossover GLE, but now it is preparing a coupe version. And while the model is not officially presented, independent designers decided to present their own vision of the future novelty.
The network appeared the first plausible image of the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. According to the designer, who presented his own understanding of the appearance of the future novelty, the image is based on photos of the new generation of GLE, a modern concept of corporate style, and previously seen spy photos.
Thus, now we can look at the exact version of the future novelty of the compartmental GLE. This became possible after the official presentation of the new generation of the classic crossover, which was held this week.
Judging by the photos, the car will be almost identical to the standard version, but, of course, will get a sloping roof, a redesigned rear, and a new rear optics with another bumper. Also, the model can get a new front bumper and a revised radiator grille for greater fit to the sports car.
And despite the fact that the model looks quite interesting, a number of foreign experts spoke quite negatively. In their opinion, a really cool sports model can be created only from scratch, and putting a new roof, and slightly reconsidering the design of the back – it’s pulling money from naive customers.
It is also noted that the company Mercedes will not make a model that will not be sold at all. And it is stated that the coupe version will receive a reconfigured suspension and steering, which will make it more responsive. Also, the motor line can be replenished – but the essence of this does not change.
In equipping the new items nothing will be different from the standard crossover. The cabin will also have a standard MBUX system for the entire updated lineup, combining a dashboard, multimedia, navigation, and car system controls. The debut of the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe may take place before the end of the year, but sales will not begin until 2019.
Meanwhile, Daimler is preparing for the presentation of its cheapest Mercedes-AMG. A compact hatchback A35 with a motor up to 300 horsepower will be shown on October 2 as part of the opening of the Paris Motor Show.
