Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 will get 429 hp electrified motorFebruary 27, 2019
The German automaker spoke about the new version of the Mercedes-Benz GLE 53. The car received a modified appearance and an updated interior, as well as a powerful hybrid engine.
The new version of the German “charged” crossover Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4Matic + will receive a hybrid 3.0-liter inline “six” with turbocharging, which produces a total of 435 horsepower.
Although the exterior of the car is in many ways similar to the standard version of the GLE, the brand’s designers still “refreshed” it by adding the Panamericana false radiator grille for the Mercedes-AMG models.
The power plant consists of an internal combustion engine, a turbocharger, an electric supercharger and an in-built starter / generator – this is the configuration of the “charged” CLS 53, E 53 and E 53. The engine is connected to a 9-speed automatic gearbox that transmits power to all wheels. It is reported that from 0 to 100 km / h the car can accelerate in 5.3 seconds, and its maximum speed is electronically limited to 250 km / h.
GLE 53 comes standard with air suspension, which has active roll stabilization to keep the crossover in a horizontal position. Drivers can choose from seven damping modes – Comfort, Sport, Sport +, Trail and Sand. It is also possible to change the ride height by as much as 55 mm.
Interior will have sports seats, black artificial leather, which is combined with a red microfiber. Of course, the infotainment system MBUX with two screens is installed (dashboard and multimedia system). It will be possible to order elements of the interior, made of carbon.
