Mercedes-Benz GLC and GLE on hybrid traction introducedSeptember 9, 2019
The German automaker has shown its versions of the Mercedes-Benz GLC and GLE on the EQ Power hybrid drive. Soon they will be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e 4Matic is the first model to feature an EQ Power plug-in hybrid drive. The power unit is a 2.0 liter gasoline engine with 4 cylinders of 210 hp. (350 Nm) and a 13.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. It is paired with an electric motor of 123 hp. (440 Nm). The total power of the car is 320 hp. (560 Nm), from a cross point it will accelerate to 100 km / h in 5.7 seconds, with a maximum speed of 230 km / h.
Cruising range on one electric traction will be – 34 km. Fast recharging takes 2 hours, from a conventional outlet – 4 hours.
Mercedes-Benz GLE 350e 4Matic – also equipped with a hybrid EQ Power – it includes a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine and a battery of 31.2 kW / h, total power – 320 hp (700 Nm).
The first hundred cars reach already at 6.8 seconds, the maximum speed is 210 km / h. The power reserve of the “older” GLE 350e is more – 106 km.
Both models will not appear in dealerships until the first half of 2020, however, the exact date has not yet been disclosed.
