Stuttgart brand during the current year is actively increasing sales of cars against the backdrop of record demand for the E-Class.
According to the results of October, the Germans sold 182 812 cars worldwide, which is 5.6% higher than the similar indexes of the previous year. For 10 months of the current year, the dealers of the brand sold 1,900,112 vehicles, which is 11.1% higher than last year. Last month, Mercedes-Benz was in the lead in the premium segment in the markets of Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Taiwan, USA and Canada.
In Europe, Mercedes-Benz fixes a personal record, having sold 76 694 cars in October, which is 7.4% more than in October of last year. Since the beginning of 2017, nearly 800,000 vehicles have been sold, with sales up 8%.
In the Asia-Pacific region, Mercedes-Benz sold 67,132 vehicles, an increase in sales of 5.3%. For 10 months of this year, 728 263 vehicles were delivered to customers, which is 21.1% higher than last year’s figures, and this is another record for Stuttgart. Even better things are in China, where sales growth for 10 months was 27.8%.
Brand’s bestsellers in the first 10 months of this year were crossovers, spreading around the world in the amount of 658,208 copies, which is 13.7% higher than last year.
Impressive growth in sales in 50% showed E-Class, of which 295 639 units were sold.
Traditionally for the current year Daimler AG’s car is damaged by Smart cars, which sold 111,486 units in January-October of this year, the sales decline was 4.9%.
