Mercedes announced the release date of its first pickupOctober 18, 2016
Designed in conjunction with the Renault–Nissan new pickup is expected to make its debut October 25, 2016 at a private event, and later will be presented at the Motor Show in Sao Paulo. This was reported by the French TV channel TF1, with reference to its own source.
Until now it is not known whether Mercedes will have production-ready car, or it will be only a prototype. The novelty will receive the designation GLT-Class, however, is considered and the option of X-Class.
As the pickup Navara, the novelty from Mercedes will be produced at Nissan plant in Argentina. The main sales markets will be South Africa, Latin America and Australia. On sale the pickup should arrive before the end of 2017.
