The German sports brand has unveiled an updated version of the high-performance Mercedes-AMG CLS 53. The new model, which will be sold in a limited edition of 300 pieces, will only be sold in Europe.

Mercedes-Benz has already unveiled a new version of its 2022 CLS four-door coupe. The more powerful version of the model from Mercedes-AMG will be released in only 300 copies. Buyers can choose between Selenite Gray Magno or Cashmere White Magno paint finishes with body stripes above the side sills. There’s also a set of 20-inch AMG twin-spoke wheels with a polished rim flange.

For the Limited Edition, you can choose between the Night Package and Night Package II, which combine black body parts and dark glass to give the CLS 53 a more stylish look.

The AMG Dynamic Plus “package” offers red brake calipers and a Race mode with Drift option. In addition, in this version of the novelty, when the doors are opened, the AMG logo will be projected onto the road surface.

Inside, there is a Nappa leather sports steering wheel as well as two-tone leather upholstery and carbon fiber trim. Rounding out the changes are the steering wheel button with AMG logo and red contrasting stitching.

The “charged” version of the large coupe is still equipped with a 429-horsepower engine (520 Nm). The built-in starter generator (ISG) adds a temporary 21 hp increase in power. (250 Nm).

The 53 is notoriously not quite a full-fledged 63 that had to die to survive the AMG GT 4-door coupe, but that’s not a slouch either. It only needs four and a half seconds to accelerate to 62 mph (100 km / h) from a standstill and a top speed of 155 mph (250 km / h) electronically controlled. When equipped with the optional AMG Driver Package, the top speed increases to 168 mph (270 km / h).

Mercedes will start selling the refreshed CLS in Europe this month, and the charged version of Mercedes-Benz will be sold exclusively in Europe.

Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that Mercedes-Benz presented an updated third-generation CLS sedan. And in the palette of available shades for painting the body, a new color has appeared, and the choice of upholstery options has also become richer.
