Mercedes-AMG S65 Final Edition will be presented in GenevaMarch 4, 2019
The car received the good old V12 with a capacity of 621 hp. A total of 130 copies of the model will be released.
It’s safe to say that the Mercedes-Benz booth at the 89th Geneva Motor Show will be interesting, but … On the one hand, we’ll see updated versions of the GLC and GLE 53 crossovers, the GT R roadster, and the second generation CLA model in bodywork wagon. On the other hand, we will have to say goodbye to the current version of the Mercedes-AMG S65 Sedan. The latter will receive an exclusive “farewell” version of Final Edition.
Production of a powerful sedan is limited to an edition of 130 units. The novelty will be released exclusively in the metal body color Obsidian Black, further emphasizing the importance of the model.
The inscription “One person – one engine” on the engine cover, which is made in black, will also speak about the exclusivity of the S65 Final Edition. Even the formidable quadrilateral exhaust pipes at the back have a glossy black look. The black theme of Final Edition contrasts with the matte bronze inserts on forged 20-inch alloy wheels, front air intakes, side skirts, as well as on the rear bumper.
Under the hood will be a 6.0-liter V12 engine with two turbines, the maximum power of which is equal to 621 horsepower (1000 Nm). This will be enough to send a luxury sedan to the “point” in 4.1 seconds, despite its own weight of 2,250 kg. The maximum possible speed will be 300 km / h.
Mercedes-Benz is not yet talking about how much the Final Edition version will cost, but it goes without saying that an exclusive performance will cost more than the standard S65, available in the United States, at an initial price of $ 232,550.
